<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the shrinking of cable insulation in a prefabricated joint for a CV cable, caused by thermal expansion accompanying a temperature rise, a decreased Young's modulus, a rise in the interface pressure and the like. SOLUTION: The cable joint comprises an epoxy unit installed so as to cover the conductor connection tube connecting the two cable conductors and a rubber stress cone positioned between the epoxy unit and the cable insulation and pressed down by means of a spring device; the joint is characterized by being provided with a stopper sandwiched between the outer surface of the cable insulation and the underside of the epoxy unit and a cap into which the conductor penetrates and which envelops the end of the cable insulation. It is also characterized by being provided with a deformation preventing spacer installed at the rear end of the rubber stress cone around the semiconductive layer over the cable insulation and a deformation preventing spacer installed around the read end of the rubber stress cone.</p> |
