<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent transfer efficiency from being reduced due to retransmission caused by an error packet at the time of IP packet division/ reconstruction and fragment inhibition, abandonment of an IP packet transferred up to a repeater on a route, etc. SOLUTION: IP packet transmission procedures of a network device using TCP/IP communication are provided with a function which uses the ICMP function as an existing technique to learn/store the minimum MTU of each route and determines the IP packet length on the basis of the MTU stored for each transmission destination and transmit the IP packet.</p> |
