PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture signal transmission system capable of avoiding a digital signal and an analog signal from being inputted to a picture receiving side device from a picture transmission side device at the same time. SOLUTION: The picture transmission side device comprises a judging means for judging whether or not both of the digital picture data and the analog picture data are being transmitted to the picture receiving side device, based on a detection result received from the picture receiving side device, and a means for halting either of the outputs of the digital picture data and the analog picture data when both of the digital picture data and the analog picture data are being transmitted to the picture receiving side device.
