PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it very easy for an elderly person or a person who is unfamiliar to handling a dry battery and electric equipment and reduced in visual power or vigilance, to install the dry battery in place without mistaking its polarity by means of a simple combination of respective colors of the dry battery and a dry battery case so as to prevent accidents such as leakage of the dry battery electrolyte and malfunction of appliances due to reverse connection of the dry battery. SOLUTION: This apparatus is characterized in that it is constructed so as to accommodate the dry battery 2 whose circumferential surface 2b of a positive electrode 2a side is colored in a first color 11 and its circumferential surface 2b of the negative electrode 2d side is colored in a second color 12 which is in contrast to the first color 11 and can be identified at first sight, and further comprises the battery case 3 which has a positive electrode terminal 4 in contact with the positive electrode 2a and a negative electrode terminal 5 in contact with the negative electrode 2d of the dry battery 2, and in which a predetermined are 3a on the positive electrode terminal 4 side is colored in the first color 11 and a predetermined area 3d on the negative electrode terminal 5 side is colored in the second color 12.
