PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote controller capable of operating a plurality of electric apparatus, without having a user move in a room. SOLUTION: The operating apparatus is composed of a balloon type robot 1 functioning as a remote controller for controlling drives of electric apparatus installed in a room such as television sets T, video decks V, air conditioners A, etc., a server 2 for controlling the operation of the robot 1 and an instruction terminal such as portable telephone terminal and computer terminal for instructing the robot 1 of control contents. The instruction terminal is operated to instruct the server 2 of set contents of each electric apparatus installed in the room such as television set T, video deck V, air conditioner A, etc., thereby moving the robot 1 near to the individual electric apparatus to control their drives.
