PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rectified voltage having excellent power factor and lower noise. SOLUTION: This rectifying apparatus comprises a switch element 13 connected between a rectifying element 12 and an inductance 16, a switch element 15 connected between the inductance 16 and a diode 17 at its one end and is connected to the rectifying element 12 at its other end, and a switch element 14 connected between the switch element 13 and inductance 16 at its one end and is connected to a capacitor 18 at its other end. A controller 19 alternately makes conductive the switch elements 13, 15 and the switch element 14 in the manner that the conductive period of the switch elements 13 and 15 becomes shorter than the conductive period of the switch element 14.
