Biochip (A) comprising a substrate the main surface (6) of which is reflective and has localized sites (5) made sensitive to fluorescent detection by a transparent layer of optical thickness (2k + 1) lambda /4, where k is positive integer or zero and lambda is wavelength between that of fluorescent excitation ( lambda 0) and emission ( lambda 1), is new. An Independent claim is also included for a process for making (A).
