Procedure for thermoforming thermoplastic recipients involves using a strip with recipients formed on thick zones of the strip, in between thin zones where waste is contained. The thick and thin zones are formed by localized stretching after heating, followed by cooling. A procedure comprises thermoplastic recipients being thermoformed from a strip (10) of a thermoplastic material advanced in steps, with each pair of recipients separated by a waste zone (11). The recipients are formed in thick zones (9) of the strip and the waste is formed in thin zones. The strip is formed with thick and thin zones by stretching it locally after heating, followed by cooling. The stretching is carried out by clamping the strip in two adjoining zones (12A, 12B) and applying a tension after heating. The recipients can be formed in two parallel rows in the strip, separated by a central thin zone for the waste material. After forming the thin zones, the strip is passed through a thermoforming unit in which the recipients are formed in the thick zones. |
