PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attaching/detaching tool for cable connector most suitable for attaching/detaching a cable connector. SOLUTION: The tool comprises a base bracket 2, a connector-pulling-off lever 3, an operating lever 4, and a compression coil spring 5. A protecting plate 6 fitted to the base bracket 2 is made engaged with a receptacle connector 160, and an engaging recess part 7 formed at the connector-pulling-off lever 3 is made engaged with a slide ring 175 of a cable plug connector 170. The connector-pulling-off lever 3 swings against the base bracket 2 by the biasing force of the compression coil spring 5, and the cable plug connector 170 is pulled off from the receptacle connector 160 with the swinging movement of the connector-pulling-off lever 3.
