PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastics film substrate for an organic EL display panel, having little expansion and shrinkage due to thermal stress. SOLUTION: A member of a material, having the coefficient of thermal expansion lower than that of the plastics film substrate, is embedded in at least a part of the substrate. By restricting the plastics film substrate by the above member, expansion and shrinkage of the substrate due to thermal stress are suppressed.
