PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable adaptation to more formats and output styles of input video signal without making a circuit scale large. SOLUTION: A video signal processing method makes a video signal processor, so constituted as to process digitized video signals of two or more systems in parallel, select and process video signals of one or more systems and the video signal processor is equipped with a plurality of signal processing parts which perform specific processings respectively, selects signal processing parts which perform the processings for the selected video signals out of the signal processing parts, and determines the order of the processing operations among the selected signal processing parts.
