PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination apparatus that is capable of performing dimming even if combined with a bulb type fluorescent lamp. SOLUTION: This is an illumination apparatus 2 that comprises a light source lamp L and a dimming device 3 that has a bidirectional thyristor 5 for performing phase control of the commercial power source AC and makes dimming of the light source lamp L. The dimming device 3 comprises a dimming device 3 that makes lighting to the illumination setting state before the lights- out, after lighting nearly all the light source lamps L, when the light source lamps L are re-lighted after the light source lamps L are turned off in the illumination setting state in which the phase control becomes the prescribed phase angle or less. |
