PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high bandwidth disk array controller architecture. SOLUTION: In this electronic data storage device architecture (100), fabric interconnect is used. Thus, dynamic expansion of modules, use of external memory systems, scalability of memory systems and scalability and/or connectivity of array controllers to create big storage complexes, etc., are realized. In addition, a host channel adaptor (114) to sort data into packets and to reconstitute the data from the packets is provided.
