PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium in which the relation between jitters in address signals as the cause of address errors and the modulation degree affecting the reliability of recording signals is optimized and recording can be repeated at high speed with high density. SOLUTION: The optical information recording medium has at least one recording layer on a transparent substrate on which guide grooves are formed, and in the medium, frequency-modulated address information is recorded by wobbling the guide grooves and recording can be repeated. In this medium, the demodulated information has mark-length modulation. When its jitter is represented by Tσ(M) with respect to the modulation degree M of the information recorded in the recording layer and the relative jitter is represented by J(M) with respect to the basic clock T0 of the address information, which means J(M)=Tσ(M)/T0, the medium satisfies J(M)/M<=0.17. |
