PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To know the mixing state in an image. SOLUTION: A region specification part 103 specifies a mixing region formed by mixing foreground object components constituting a foreground object and background object components constituting a background object and a non- mixing region formed of a foreground region composed of only the foreground object components and a background region composed of only the background object components corresponding to image data. A mixing rate calculation part 104 estimates the mixing ratio indicating the rate of mixture of the foreground object components and background object components of a pixel of interest according to the width of the mixing region and the distance from the position of the pixel of interest to an end of the mixing region which are specified with region information.
