PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a common path switching device for an electrical path and an optical path which achieves miniaturization of the device, cost reduction and low power consumption, by reducing the number of redundant electric- optical conversion and also remarkably reducing the number of electronic circuits. SOLUTION: Switching of electrical transmission paths by electrical switches 4 of receiver side terminating devices 10-1 through 10-n, and switching by electrical switches 6 of transmitter side terminating devices 30-1 through 30-n, are performed in corporation with switching of transmission paths in an optical region by an optical switch 2, thereby switching the transmission paths. |
