PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road traffic information system from which a vehicle obtains road traffic information at an intersection in real-time. SOLUTION: An intersection information distributing device 50 is arranged at the intersection, which device is provided with an intersection information collecting part for collecting intersection information and an intersection information transmitting part for transmitting intersection information in response to an intersection information request. An intersection information receiving device 70 is arranged at the side of the vehicle, which device is provided with an intersection information request transmitting part for transmitting the intersection information request when it is detected that the vehicle approaches the intersection and a display part for displaying the received intersection information. The intersection information request is automatically transmitted from the vehicle when it approaches the intersection, and intersection information being the road traffic information of the intersection is transmitted from the intersection side in response to the request so that the vehicle obtains the road traffic information of the intersection in real-time.
