PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce raster distortion called horizontal trapezoidal distortion caused by the leakage magnetic field from a permanent magnet of a saturable reactor element mounted to a deflection yoke. SOLUTION: This color picture tube device is provided with a bulb formed by integrating a glass panel and a glass funnel; an electron gun provided at the rear part of the bulb; and a deflection yoke 7 arranged at the rear part outer periphery of the bulb and having at least a horizontal deflection coil, a vertical deflection coil provided on the outside, a ferrite core 6 provided further on the outside, and a saturable reactor element 9 changing a horizontal deflection current flowing through the horizontal deflection coil, according to a vertical deflection current flowing through the vertical deflection coil. The saturable reactor element 9 is arranged so that two permanent magnets 10 constituting the saturable reactor element 9 are positioned near a plane including a vertical axis and a center axis of the deflection yoke 7 and that the direction of the magnetic poles is parallel with the plane. |
