PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a system where cleaning toners are recovered from cleaning devices of respective colors to one toner recovery vessel in the tandem color system is inefficient with respect to cost and effective user for a space because cleaning toners of four colors are accumulated mountain-high and it is necessary to detect the full states of respective color toners by individual detection means or to excessively reserve a capacity larger than the entire generation quantity of cleaning toners. SOLUTION: A toner carrying means constituted of paddles provided below toner recovery ports and spirals between adjacent paddles is provided in the toner recovery vessel, and the toners are stored uniformly in the longitudinal direction of the recovery vessel by the paddles and are stored uniformly in the transverse direction of the recovery vessel by spirals. The pitch shape of spirals are so formed that the toners may go from spirals on the inside of paddles in both end sides toward a junction in the vicinity of the center, and a toner detection means is provided on the wall surface part of the toner recovery vessel in the vicinity of the junction. |
