PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily check whether a card is illegally used without imposing any burden on a customer nor an alliance store. SOLUTION: An authentication support method has the stages of managing member information wherein specific card information given to cards having a settlement function respectively and mail addresses that the customers having the issued cards specify are made to correspond to each other; receiving specific dealing information including the specific card information held by the card; specifying a specific mail address in the managed member information according to the specific card information included in the received specific dealing information; and transmitting specific card use information based upon the specific dealing information to the specified mail address.
