PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compose a coupler receiving part for connecting an external coupler when mounting on a casing in an electric motor which incorporates the casing on an open end of a yoke in a flat cylindrical shape, so that a fixation part between the casing and the yoke eliminates influence of load on the coupler receiving part by making the fixation well balanced. SOLUTION: The coupler receiving part 9 is integrally formed with a brush case part 7a of the casing 7, which is positioned at a part facing the center of the circumferential direction of an arc-shaped part 7e on one side and protrudes over the outer diameter side; and the brush case part 7a and the open end of the yoke 4 are fixed by screws 14b and 14c, which locate in the circumferential directions on both sides and catching the coupler receiving part 9, and a screw 14a which faces the arc-shaped part 7e on the other side and 4d, at three positions in total.
