PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method that enables a system administrator to reduce the burden of system management and system faults caused by trans ferring a mail to an incorrect address. SOLUTION: A system stores candidates for transferring mails, which are set only by a designated system administrator, and sets the mail transferring addresses based upon the stored candidates for transferring mails when each user asks the automatic transferring mauls. The system can reduce a system fault by preventing the user from inputting the incorrect transferring address as much as possible since the system has the function that can instruct an automatic start of the transferring mails by itself when each user requires the transferring mails while his or her is going out and also the function that can instruct the designated system administrator to set the addresses where the mails are transferred.
