IMAGE DECODING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image decoding system capable of reducing the capacity of a line memory which is required by an image inverse transformation part and also capable of reducing the size of a control circuit by providing a common circuit both as a circuit used for inverse transformation of an odd-numbered field and as a circuit used for inverse conversion of an even-numbered field. SOLUTION: The image decoding system comprises as CPU which decodes a compressed data and then transfers the decoded data in accordance with the line frequency of an image receiver, and an image inverse transformation part which transforms the data transferred from the CPU into the size displayed on the image receiver. The circuit used for inverse transformation of the odd- numbered field of the image inverse transformation part is also used as the circuit used for inverse transformation of the even-numbered field.
