PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely unify F/W versions in a device without imposing a burden on an operator. SOLUTION: A device 1 is provided with a control board 2. The control board 2 is provided with a version receiving part 2A, an FROM 2B, a comparison part 2C, an F/W control part 2D, and an F/W transmission part 2E. The newest F/W is stored in the FROM 2B. A controlled board 3 loaded on the device 1 is provided with a loading recognition part 3A, an FROM 3B, an F/W version reading part 3C, a version information part 3D, and an F/W receiving part 3E. The loading of the controlled board 3 on the device 1 is recognized by the loading recognition part 3A and an F/W version is read out from the FROM reading part 3B and sent to the control board 2. The control board 2 compares the F/W version sent from the controlled board 3 with the newest F/W version stored in the FROM 2B, and when both the versions are different from each other, the F/W version stored in the FROM 2B is downloaded to the newly loaded controlled board 3.
