PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize high maintainability and low running cost by eliminating work such as exchanging a drum, exchanging a cleaning blade and further exchanging developer. SOLUTION: By arranging a developer cartridge equipped with space in which toner supplied to a developing device is stored and space in which two-component developer for exchanging is stored adjacently to the developing device and providing a container in which the two-component developer for exchanging discharged from the developer cartridge is temporarily stored and a container in which the used two- component developer discharged from the developing device is stored, the supply of toner from the developer cartridge to the developing device and the discharge of the two-component developer for exchanging to the container in which the developer is temporarily stored are performed. After detecting that the amount of the two- component developer for exchanging discharged from the developer cartridge and existing in the container in which the developer is temporarily stored becomes the specified one, the discharge of the used two-component developer existing in the developing device and the supply of the two-component developer for exchanging discharged from the developer cartridge and existing in the container in which the developer is temporarily stored to the developing device are performed. |
