PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate transfer belt excellent in durability, transfer performance and workability and producible at a relatively low cost and to provide a method for producing the intermediate transfer belt and an image forming apparatus using the interim transfer belt. SOLUTION: The intermediate transfer belt comprises a vinyl ester resin obtained by crosslinking a vinyl ester prepared by introducing a vinyl group through an ester bond and an electrically conductive agent. The method for producing the intermediate transfer belt includes a step for kneading and molding a composition containing the vinyl ester and electrically conductive agent in the belt shape and a step for crosslinking the vinyl ester. The image forming apparatus contains an image carrier, the intermediate transfer belt, a primary transfer member which transfers a toner image formed on the surface of the image carrier onto the interim transfer belt and a secondary transfer member which transfers the toner image transferred onto the intermediate transfer belt to a recording medium.
