The invention relates to a semiconductor device made of polymer that includes at least one rectifying function formed by a layer of polymer (12) between a first (11) and a second (13) electrode, the layer of polymer constituting a host matrix for polar molecules, the polar molecules being electrically orientated in a direction perpendicular to the electrodes, the electrical charges of the polar molecules, of same sign, being directed towards the same electrode. The invention also relates to a method of producing such a device.
