A one piece moulding clip of a deformable mouldable material comprises a shallow cupshaped head having an integral shank, Fig. I, extending from its base 16 in the same direction as its wall 18, or an aperture in the base, Fig. 6, to receive a separate member serving as a shank, the outline of the wall of the cup-shaped head being oblong and having a continuous edge capable of forming a seal with a panel on which the clip is mounted during use, the outer surfaces of the opposite sides of the walls being convergent away from the edge at least at the base of the cup, the sides of the wall being formed with lateral projections 40 to engage over the edges of inwardly directed flanges of a moulding strip during use, the surfaces of the projections remote from the edge being inwardly inclined so that they can be forced inwards by a cam action by the flanges of the moulding strip during assembly. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 1 the head is elongated, with semi-circular ends, and it is provided with a said integral shank. The projections in addition to having inwardly inclined surfaces remote from the edge have inwardly inclined surfaces adjacent the edge which are engaged after assembly by the moulding strip; on opposite sides of the clip adjacent the edge of the wall, flaps 46 are provided which space the moulding strip from the panel. A second sealing element in the form of a skirt 38 extending around the shank, is provided. In a modification, Fig. 6, a hub is provided in place of the shank, the base and hub having the aperture previously referred to, which receives a screw serving as a shank. Various alternative forms of projections for both constructions are described. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 11 the base is of a hexagonal shape, there are two projections 40f instead of four and four tabs 46f instead of two. This embodiment has a shank 36f for engagement with the panel. When a screw is used to secure the clip to a panel it can either be inserted from the upper side of the panel or from the underside; in the latter case the apertured hub which is provided for receiving the screw is extended so that it protrudes through the aperture in the panel so that it is distorted by the screw into engagement with the under surface of the panel.
