<p>A portable toilet (1), moving on swivel mounted rollers and attached to rails with its upper side, can be slid out from underneath the hospital bed on rails for cleaning. The toilet (1) is provided with a funnel shaped opening (4) at the top surrounded by an inflatable ring (6), and comprises a waste collection container (2) and a water tank (9), facilitating the toilet to be flushed after use. A pump (8) integrated in the water tank (9) is activated with a switch (7) located within reach of the patient at the bed frame. When the toilet (1) is removed the bed can be lifted into a higher position in order to allow the nurse to wash the patient from below through the opening (3) in the frame and the mattress if required.</p> |
