The closing strip (1) has an open recess (2) on one edge to take an engagement member (3) for a bolt. A bridging member (4) associated with the back of the closing strip holds the engagement member between itself and the back of the strip and is fixedly connected to the strip either side of the recess in an extension direction of the strip. The engagement member can be fixed on the strip by two fixing screws (5, 6) each passing through an oblong hole (7) and engaging in threaded bores (8) of the bridging member.
