<p>The present invention is a method for forming a corrugated container (20) having a double wall construction. A blank (30) is formed of a pair of corrugated layers (32, 46) sandwiched between and adhered to adjacent flat layers (34, 36, 48) and having a sufficient moisture content to enable the blank (30) to be formed. The blank (30) can include printed indicia (56), thermoresistant coatings (54), release coatings (54), and other coatings applied to the blank (30) to enhance the utility of the container (20) formed from the blank (30). The blank (30) is then inserted into a thermoforming machine (58) in which a pair of heated dies (80, 82) compress the blank (30) into the desired container shape (20).</p> |
