A method for manufacturing, especially series production of doors or hinged hoods for vehicles, is characterized by the following steps: a) The shape and size of the door or hinged hood cutout of a body shell (3) is determined by means of measurement followed by the mounting of the door or hood which is to be produced. b) The peripheral edge of the outer and/or inner skin of the door or hood which is to be produced is trimmed and matched to the shape and size of the corresponding cutout. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing a body structure and an arrangement for implementing said method. The arrangement has a measuring station (27) for measuring cutouts of doors or hinged hoods and a cutting device (23) with which the dimensionally cut door or hood is manufactured from each cutout. In addition, the invention provides for a simple means for manufacturing a body door or hinged hood.
