A semiconductor laser module which uses a polarization retaining fiber (8) provided with an FBG (15) for feeding back a light with a specified wavelength to a semiconductor laser element (2), the main axis of the polarization retaining fiber (8) almost agreeing with the polarizing directions of first and second laser beams (K1, K2) output from first and second stripes.
