METHOD FOR FABRICATING MAGNETIC HEAD

PURPOSE: A method for fabricating a magnetic head is provided to improve smoothness of a friction face of the magnetic head to reduce generation of particles caused by friction and minimize abrasion according to contact of the magnetic head and a magnetic tape to extend the span of life of the magnetic head and magnetic tape. CONSTITUTION: A chip core(20) having a contact face coming into contact with a magnetic tape and a gap for forming leakage magnetic field on the contact face is prepared. The contact face is cleaned and dried. The dynamic characteristic of the chip core is confirmed. A small quantity of material is coated on a valley portion of the surface of the contact face. The material is coated on the overall surface of the contact face to form a protection film.
