The emergency fireproofing system comprises a plate made up of four sections (1 - 4). These are connected by spring-loaded hinges (5, 6). The top three sections (1 -3) fold together and then fold down on to the bottom section (4). The packet of plates is held together by fusible solder and unfolds in case of fire to block the pipe.
