An image is faded out from the ray path (7) and fed to an objective (2) of a digital camera (9) integrated into the telescope (1). The fade is performed by a semi-transparent divider mirror (5) arranged between objective and eyepiece (3) and sited on their focal point. The mirror can be at 45 deg to the longitudinal optical axis and have a transmission/reflection ratio of 70/30. Optics between mirror and camera emit parallel light to enlarge the intermediate image sevenfold.
