Method has cyclic communication rounds whereby each participant sends a synchronizing message in each round. From the received messages, each participant determines a status vector, which indicates which synchronization messages were correctly received, TRUE, and which not, FALSE. In the subsequent communication round each participant sends his status vector to the other participants for agreement.
