BARIUM TITANATE AND ITS PRODUCTION METHOD

摘要

A barium titanate used for producing a dielectric porcelain thin−film necessary for a miniature capacitor leading to reduction of the size of an electronic device, having a small grain diameter, containing a less amount of unwanted impurities, and excellent in electric characteristics and its production method are disclosed. A sol of titanium oxide is reacted with a barium compound in an alkaline solution where a basic compound is present, the basic compound is removed as a gas after the reaction, and the slurry is baked, thus producing a barium titanate having a large FET specific surface and a high tetragonal system crystallinity.
