Diagnosis of neuropsychiatric disorders, or predisposition, based on determining the protein synthesis dynamic, also screening for therapeutic modulators

Diagnosing neuropsychiatric disorders (or predisposition to them) comprising determining the protein synthesis dynamic (PSD) in an individual or living organism, and comparing the value with that in a control group of healthy subjects, with any variation from the control value indicating a disorder, or predisposition, is new. Independent claims are also included for: (1) identifying PSR (= protein-synthesis relevant) genes for a neuropsychiatric disorder; and (2) screening for compounds (A) that modulate the pathway of a neuropsychiatric disorder.
