1,008,700. Control of A.C. motors. LICENTIA PATENT - VERWALTUNGS - G.m.b.H. July 13, 1964 [July 11, 1963], No. 28772/64. Heading H2J. The three-phase primary winding 3 of a motor is connected to D.C. line 1 through converter 2 comprising thyratrons or transistors which are controlled to determine the frequency and voltage at which the motor operates. Chokes 7, 8, 9 are included in the stator circuit when the motor is being started, and are bypassed by switches 10, 11, 12 when the motor operates above 90% of its normal operating frequency. The chokes are re-introduced when the motor operates as a regenerative brake.
|
