An electric machine according to prior art comprises a rotor shaft which must be mounted as a separate component. The inventive electric machine (1) is designed with a housing (4) and a bearing arrangement (49) in such a way that a rotor shaft does not need to be mounted, thus reducing the number of components to be mounted and shortening the axial length of the electric machine (1).
