Methods of preventing, treating, or ameliorating symptoms of Alzheimer's Disease, regulating production or levels of amyloid beta (A beta ) peptides and/or regulating the amount of ApoE isoform 4 in the bloodstream and/or brain are provided which include the step of administering to a subject in need of such treatment an effective amount of a composition including at least one compound represented by Formulae (I-X) disclosed herein.
