摘要 A method for producing a tetragonal fired barium titanate powder having an average particle diameter of 0.05 to 0.5 μm, a Ba/Ti atomic ratio of 1.003 to 1.006, particularly preferably 1.003 to 1.005 and an ignition loss of 0.5 % or less, which comprises preparing a tetragonal fine barium titanate powder having an average particle diameter of 0.05 to 0.5 μm, a Ba/Ti atomic ratio of 1.003 to 1.009 by means of the liquid phase process, and firing the powder at 930 to 980˚C. The fired barium titanate powder produced by the method has high crystallinity, exhibits high dielectric property, and is reduced in the content of an alkali metal component such as Na, and thus can be suitably used as a material for forming a dielectric layer of a monolithic ceramic capacitor or the like.
