A tire mounting apparatus includes a spreader arm intended to operate a stretching apart of a side of a tire fitted partially over a rim which is fixed to a platform to facilitate the positioning of the insert; and a presser intended to press the side of the tire after introducing the insert. A tire mounting apparatus includes a spreader arm (4) intended to operate stretching apart of a side (50, 51) of a tire (5) fitted partially over a rim (2) which is fixed to a turning platform (1) to facilitate positioning of an anti-puncture insert; and a presser (7) intended to press the side of the tire after introducing the insert. It provides the tire with the anti-puncture insert, and is intended to cooperate with the platform. The platform has a fixing mechanism for fixing the rim, and a tire-pushing nail (3, 30) for associating the tire with the rim, which is fixed to the platform.
