PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for vehicle capable of improving the feeling of air conditioning to occupants even when outside air flows into a cabin by the opening of an access door and a window. SOLUTION: This air conditioner for a vehicle comprises a plurality of diffusers 211, 212, and 213 installed inside the cabin 2 at a plurality of positions and blowing out conditioned air air-conditioned in an air conditioner case 210, a controller 300 for controlling the openings of a plurality of doors 221, 222, and 223 opening the plurality of diffusers 211, 212, and 213, and an open/close state detection means 400 for detecting the open/close state of the access door 4 and window 5 of a vehicle 1. When the access door 4 and the window 5 are detected to be in open state by the open/close state detection means 400, the controller 300 opens, among the plurality of doors 221, 222, and 223, only the door 211 opening the diffuser 211 on the side where the intenser bodily sensation of conditioned air applied to the bodies of the occupants can be obtained.
