PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multipurpose jack capable of easily lifting or passing a vehicle in a stable condition by arranging the jack below the vehicle when the automobile passes a gutter having a large width or escapes in the case where a wheel drops in the gutter or a vehicle body is lifted to perform its inspection and repair. SOLUTION: This multipurpose jack consists of a hydraulic pump 2, a cylinder device 3 driven by the hydraulic pump, a pedestal 5 for loading or passing a wheel of the automobile, an elevating drive mechanism lifting and lowering the pedestal 5 while keeping its horizontal condition and composed of a drive arm 8 rising and falling due to the expansion and shrinkage of a cylinder rod 4 of the cylinder device 3 and a driven arm 9, and 3 main body frame 1 supporting them. An auxiliary pedestal for extending the pedestal 5 is detachably mounted in both side parts of the pedestal, and a circular flat plate is detachably and rotatably arranged in a central part of the pedestal 5.
