SYSTEM FOR TREATING FIXED AMMONIA OF AMMONIA WATER CAPTURED IN COKE OVEN GAS (COG)

PURPOSE: A system for treating fixed ammonia of ammonia water captured in coke oven gas (COG) is provided to convert fixed ammonia into free ammonia that is more degradable even under mild conditions. CONSTITUTION: The system is characterized in that ammonia water and caustic soda are mixed in an equivalent ratio of 1:1 before being fed into distillation towers(2,3) so that fixed ammonia is converted into free ammonia. During the conversion process, ammonia is converted into NH3, thus ammonia concentration in effluent from the distillation tower into a wastewater treatment facility(4) is lowered.
