PURPOSE: An optical fiber with maintaining a polarization is provided to obtain a light beam having a polarization direction being equal to that of the light beam inputted thereto, thereby increasing the optical efficiency and the optical output thereof. CONSTITUTION: An optical fiber with maintaining a polarization includes an optical fiber core(31), a cladding(32) enclosing the optical fiber core(31) and a pair of polarized beam splitters(33-1,33-2) for selectively transmitting or reflecting the polarized light beam in response to the polarized direction of the light beam at both ends in the form of plane, wherein the optical fiber is provided with an input portion and an output portion at both ends, respectively and each of the portions in the form of plane is inclined at a predetermined angle to an optical axis thereof.
