PURPOSE: A nozzle and a sliding plate for casting molten steel are provided to easily enable stagnation suppression and refining of molten steel flow by forming a double structure into which a porous type or slit type structure capable of purging an argon gas to a portion where molten steel flow is stagnated is inserted. CONSTITUTION: In a nozzle used in a tundish or ladle, the nozzle for casting molten steel is characterized in that a separate porous type or slit type structure having a smaller pore diameter than the nozzle body is inserted into a nozzle of a certain portion where molten steel is stagnated, wherein pore size of the porous type structure is 10 to 20 micrometers, a pore size of the slit type structure is 0.1 to 0.7 mm, the nozzle is an upper nozzle(1a) of a sliding gate valve unit for the tundish, or a top nozzle or a collector nozzle for the ladle, and the porous or slit type structure is inserted into both ends of the lower part of a submerged nozzle for refining molten steel by purging an argon gas. In a sliding plate comprising a lower plate(4) used in a tundish or a ladle, the sliding plate for casting molten steel is characterized in that a separate porous type or slit type structure having a smaller pore diameter than the body of the lower plate(4) is inserted into a lower plate, wherein flow of molten steel is cut off so that the lower plate is in the arrangement state that is contacted with molten steel, the pore size of the porous type structure is 10 to 20 micrometers, and the pore size of the slit type structure is 0.1 to 0.7 mm.
