PURPOSE: A method and a system for copying data of an optical recorder are provided to generate accurate track information by using an interrupt signal line for transmitting track increment command message. CONSTITUTION: A system for copying data of an optical recorder includes a first pickup driving part(304) driving a first pickup(302) to read data written at a read only disk; a first digital signal processing part(306) demodulating the data read by the first pickup; a first micro computer(300) controlling the first pickup driving part and the first digital signal processing part, and transmitting a track increment message by confirming whether a track increment is being executed; an interrupt signal transmitting part(300a) transmitting the track increment message; an interrupt signal receiving part(308a) receiving the track increment message; a second micro computer(308) receiving the track increment message and controlling all parts of a writing system to execute the track increment; a second pickup driving part(312) receiving a track increment command for driving a second pickup(310); and a second digital signal processing part(314) modulating predetermined data transmitted from the second micro computer to transmit the modulated data to the second pickup.
